In order to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system function it is important that you take good care of yourself. This goes far beyond just going on the latest fad diet, or walking around the block a few times a week. Instead it requires you to be an active participant in your own well being. It means that you have to take it upon yourself to learn the techniques and information necessary to stay healthy. Essentially it means that you have to stop hiding behind laziness, and begin to show a degree of initiative.
Pep talk aside, maintaining a proper cardiovascular system function is not complicated if you have the proper tools to get you off on the right foot. To begin you need to forget about 85% of what you have ever learned. Chances are most of your information has come from a marketing department and, as we know, this is not a reliable source of information. If you think that fast food is somehow healthier because it no longer contains trans fat then you have fallen victim to marketing speak, and are at a serious disadvantage.
